Sherlock Holmes vs Arsene Lupin (English version)

Do you know about “Detective Conan” or “Case Closed”? Do you know the meaning of the name of “Conan”? Yup, I’ll tell you something right now, Conan, the main Character of “Case Closed”, is a name that came from the author of Sherlock Holmes novel, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Beside that, the author of “Case Closed” got the inspirations for his story from Sherlock Holmes novel. If we talk about Detective Conan or Case Closed, we must know about the duel of Conan and Kaito Kid. For your information Kaito Kid is a genius thief who become conan’s rival.

                If Conan is an adaptation from Sherlock Holmes then Kaito kid is another type of Arsene Lupin. Arsene Lupin is a story that made by Maurice Leblanc. Arsene Lupin is an aristocrat thief from Paris. Leblanc took the name of Sherlock Holmes for the first time was in a story called Sherlock Holmes Arrives too Late and published by Je Sais Tout Vol 17. It was not easy to combine two powerful character become a great story because Conan Doyle gave a complaining to Leblanc. That official complaining made Leblanc changed the name Sherlock Holmes in his story became Herlock Sholmes and the name Watson became Wilson. The first story after the changing name came in 1908 with the tite “Arsene Lupin contre Herlock Sholmes” but in USA Herlock Sholmes became Homlock Shears and I don’t why. :v

                Herlock Sholmes was coming back to Sherlock Holmes after a long time and of curse wilson was back to Watson too. Moreover the story about Arsene Lupin and Sherlock Holmes became the bestseller fanfiction in the world. You can read another Sherlock Holmes’s story in book version like :
